NifuNifa does Kilimanjaro

"raising extra money by challenging themselves to climb the tallest freestanding mountain in the world"

The team from not-for-profit record label, NifuNifa Records, will be travelling to Tanzania this September to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in order to raise funds for Tanzanian education charity BornToLearn.

The electronic music label donates 100% of profits to charity and each year they choose a new children’s education organisation to support. Like last year in Egypt, the team will be going to the school in Tanzania to run a music workshop for the students. This year, however, they are raising extra money by challenging themselves to climb the tallest freestanding mountain in the world.

Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant equatorial volcano and Africa’s highest peak at 5,895 meters. While no advanced climbing skills are required, those attempting to reach the snow capped summit will start their journey in a tropical forest and battle altitude sickness on their way up. However, once reaching the top, they would have climbed one of the great mountains of the world and for a fantastic cause.

NifuNifa Records Founder Nordin Marzok Ali, along with Marketing Manager Patiricia Fernández and UX/Web Designer, Marta Montserrat, will be paying for the climb with their own money and have set up a crowd funding page for anyone who would like to donate.
